WRITING · DISCIPLESHIP · MISSIONS
Jesus is the ONLY Name to Remember.
Where Scripture burns,
truth restores and hearts return Home.
Where His Word speaks into real life, and leads you back to Jesus.
A place where our lives become like poetry, written and fulfilled by the Word (James 1:22).
We write the Word, we live the Word — and we partner with those who carry it to the nations, where every soul is discipled and not simply counted.
WHAT POETRY ON FIRE IS
Two halves of one work
Poetry on Fire is a writing and discipleship ministry. We write, we teach, we go live, we encourage and we minister the Word into real, every-day life. Then comes the half that is rarely seen: we stand with ministries who carry the Name of Jesus into the nations and disciple every single person who answers Him.
The Word written
Books, blog posts and devotionals. Discipleship and study materials. Livestreams, encouragement and pastoral ministry — words written to steady you, restore what has been worn down and lead you back to Jesus. Two books are in the making: The Untamed Lion by Philip Strauss and Choose Your Hard by Marilé Strauss. The first is on its way.
The Word carried
Missions with ministries who disciple. More than six months of groundwork in an area, pastors and churches equipped and trained in Biblical discipleship, and then crusades where every salvation is discipled into maturity, welcomed into a local church and looked after. Philip, our evangelist, coordinates and plans it alongside ministries who want the Name of Jesus known — not their own.
ABOUT
The Fire | The Love | the Move
Living the Word isn’t reserved for Sunday mornings — it’s meant to shape how we live at home, how we lead in the workplace, how we love our friends and family. Wherever we are, that’s where the Word is meant to be lived.

This is a place for those who want more than surface answers. Here, Scripture is lived, wrestled with, and allowed to speak into real, every-day life. In seasons of joy and in moments that feel like ashes, these words are written to steady, restore what has been worn down, and lead you back to the One who remains faithful. The Word says in Acts 17:28 “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being…” We are not just alive on Sundays or during church events… We live for Jesus every, single day, wherever we go, wherever we are, whatever we do, it is all for Him, through Him, if we choose to be His vessels – His Poetry on Fire – His living Psalm!
We are the Strauss family. A husband, wife, father, mother, daughter, leaders, and pastors with a deep conviction for truth and restoration. We write from lived experience, from seasons that have stretched and refined us, and from a desire to see people return to what is authentic and lasting in God. The heart is to strengthen, to restore, and to call people back to Jesus through words that carry weight and honesty. However, that is not where it stops. It is one thing to know the Bible…it is another thing the The Word. Jesus is the Word, and His Word calls us back to Him in Spirit and in Truth, in word, and action, in who we are, and who we choose to become…
Someone once summed them up like this: “Philip is the Fire, Marilé is the Love.” With years of experience in full-time ministry and in the marketplace, they live out what it means to walk with God in every space of life. And then there’s Noa, prophetic, gentle, kind, radical, their daughter – God’s heart walking on Earth – whose name means “Move of God” — the Fire, the Love, the Move.
Born of God

Poetry on Fire is born from the heart of God through a powerful encounter that changed everything. It is a call to wholeness, depth, and return – a place where words meet the sacred and the realness of daily life. No longer can we allow ourselves to only hear the Word, or only speak the Word – God is calling us to be DOERS of His Word.
“Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!”
MISSIONS
The TRUE Great Commission in action
“Go” was never the whole sentence. “Go and make disciples” is. God’s heart beats for souls — and it breaks for discipleship.
That is why we partner the way we do. Months of working the soil before a single crusade night. Pastors and churches equipped and trained in Biblical discipleship, which is not a course to complete but a lifestyle to live. And then the crusades, where every person who says yes to Jesus is discipled into maturity, welcomed into a local church and looked after long after the lights go down.
We are not looking for converts. We are looking for disciples.

PARTNERSHIP
Where your partnership goes
Partnership is not support for a platform. It is you, standing in the work with us — and this is exactly what it carries:
- Groundwork before the crusades — the months of preparation on the ground with local pastors and churches, long before anyone preaches.
- Pastors and churches equipped — discipleship training, conferences and impartation that feed whole congregations.
- Crusades that disciple — every salvation followed up, welcomed into a local church and walked into maturity.
- Materials and books — discipleship and soul-winning resources for pastors, study material for partners, and the books in the making: The Untamed Lion by Philip Strauss and Choose Your Hard by Marilé Strauss.
- The platforms — this website, our store, our livestreams and everything that carries these words further than we could on our own.
The Gospel is absolutely free. Getting it out there is not. God supplies every need, and our trust is in Him always.

Do not miss what God is doing through Poetry on Fire.
We live the Word here at Poetry on Fire, and our lives become like wildfires, spreading the Word of God by how we live our lives — our conduct, our integrity, our growth, the love we freely give, how easily we forgive, our consistency and calm, and our readiness to share with others the Reason for the Hope we so uncompromisingly live by — His Name is Jesus!
This is why sharing matters. When you pass on what God is doing here, you are not sharing content — you are carrying His Word to someone we will never stand in front of. That is partnership. The preaching is only one half of the work; the carrying is the other half, and it is no smaller a part of it. Come and see what Jesus is doing on our platforms — then take it further.
