the beauty of Christ’s healthy body
There is something beautiful about watching the Body of Christ work together as one.
This morning our team spread out across six different churches in Bujumbura, worshipping alongside congregations that had faithfully stood behind the crusades and welcomed thousands into the Kingdom. Every church carried the same heartbeat: Jesus would be known, people would be discipled, and Burundi would never be the same.
Philip had the privilege of ministering at Alithia Church, where he shared from Matthew 17:27. When Peter was questioned about paying the temple tax, Jesus was never intimidated by the need. Instead, He gave an unexpected instruction that revealed a timeless Kingdom principle: when we pursue God’s Kingdom and value people above possessions, the Lord is faithful to provide what is needed.
The message reminded us that ministry can never be driven by finances. It must always be driven by love for souls. As people encounter Jesus, are discipled, and grow into everything God has placed inside them, they become part of building His house for generations to come. God still provides in remarkable ways, whether through supernatural intervention, through promotion, or through the work of our hands as He gives wisdom and favour.
go and grow – the whole of the great commission
One of the most moving moments of the morning came when the pastor of the church welcomed those who had surrendered their lives to Christ during the past two nights’ crusades. Seeing new believers walk into a local church, ready to be discipled and established in their faith, filled our hearts with gratitude. We are not simply called to go. We are called to go and make disciples. Watching that happen before our eyes is one of the greatest miracles of this mission.
Last night’s crusade and the last night’s crusade…
Last night, close to 4,000 people responded to the Gospel. Every number represents a name. Every name represents a life forever changed by Jesus, and that name represents families and communities turning to Jesus.
Tonight is our final crusade in Burundi.
We believe God always leaves the best for last. We are asking you to stand with us in prayer as thousands gather once again.
- Pray that hearts would be prepared, that every obstacle would be removed, and that the Holy Spirit would draw people from every direction,
- Pray for salvations beyond what we have yet seen,
- for miracles of healing,
- for restoration in families,
- for freedom from every chain,
- for lives to be firmly established in Christ,
- and that Jesus has free reign to build His Church in Burundi and further,

We are deeply grateful that Jesus allows us to be part of what He is doing in Burundi.
